      Sorry for this massive Bumping...

      but only 40 viewers..

I have also emailed bilstein regarding the measurements, but i dont know if i can have them.

Otherwise i will have to Chop up my brand new shock and buy 1 more

They surely are capable of supplying technical drawings.. but they will not be eager to share.
Just make your own drawing and ask for specific drawings.. that worked for me on some occasions. Problem is that it takes ages to get in contact with the right person af those companies...

you dont know the full stroke on the shock? without the built in bumpstop?

Sorry, only worked with Koni shocks.
Why do you want to know the max stroke? You are figuring out the needed spring length for main and helper spring?

naah, so i know how much clearance i need to the fender,(obviously it will not compress the bumpstop completely, but good with clearance. and for the rear shocks..

Is it not possible to compress the damper by hand then like say a Koni? Also I would expect the spring would coil bind before the damper reached maximum travel, on my Koni's that is the case.

yes it is, but on the bilstein inverted the bumpstop is inside the housing, so hard to tell maximum stroke.

and my springs allow more compression than my stroke to bumpstop.

Clamp the dampener into something and use a jack under it so simulate load, that way you will see how much the bump stop will move.

                      yes i know,

but i would like the rear shock to have the same travel, but im guessing i´ll have to chance and just take the same stroke to bumpstop instead..
