    WTD: 17" OZ Superleggera

    As title, I need 1 17" OZ Superleggera wheel. 5x112 fitment, 57.1mm bore. Et37, 8" width.

Fecking potholes, bent one of my fronts.
Trying to claim off the council.

Anybody have a spare kicking about or know a mate etc?

    Ta.
    Kieron.

was it a hell of a pothole?

was thinking of going 17" oz ultraleggeras, maybe think twice now.

Turning left into a junction on a NSL road pothole about 3 inches deep on offside of car so pretty well loaded, maybe a foot square accross.
Its not trashed, but theres a flat spot in the rim and it vibrates above 50mph. Its terrible round here.

They are good, however are they not light with a compromise to strength?

nope.. did you know that original all s quattro models wheels had a softer strenght, then the normal vw/audi/bmw. they did this because you rather replace a wheel then the quattro driveshafts.

I work over 15 years as a hobby with wheels now and the oz, bbs, speedline etc are far far far better then your autoshop replica's.. not only in weight, but when you polish a wheel then you see the quallity of the material..
that's why i refuse to polish replica wheels , you never get them good.

I am not disputing they are good wheels, I just thought that the bias was more towards light weight that strength, not to the extreme of ultraleggas but weaker and lighter than similiarly sized rally spec compomotive for example.

That first bit is interesting though.
