Thanks for the reply guys. I now live in Cyprus however, I will be moving back to the UK in about 18 months.
I have spoken to Nick about his Red Avant and it seems quite interesting but until I see better pictures and actually the car itself it is hard to make a judgement. Any car I buy will stay with my brother until I return when I can take it on myself so there is no mad rush but if a good car comes up then it would be daft not to move on it. I know they are becoming more rare and it won't replace my RS2 but if I am honest I preferred my S2 to the RS2 as I thought the driving position was better, always felt like I sat on the RS2's Recaros not "in" them like the S2 cloth seats. Plus I was always paranoid about leaving the RS anywhere as it was immaculate. I also feel a certain person, who cannot be named, didn't set the car up as it should be and amongst other things, robbed me of some of the joy of owning it.

id take an S2 also mate. no point buying an overpriced car which porsche had to think long about to make any better.

Guys can we keep this thread about me finding an S2 Avant I do sympathise with all of those who lost out dealing with CJ I really do, don't forget I am one of them too! Lets look at it this way, it showed how many good guys there are on this forum who were willing to help out a fellow enthusiast in their hour of need, and the true value of this forum. Lets face it if CJ was happy to trash what could of been an extremely successful business for the sake of a quick buck, then more fool him.
