Wanted Brake bomb accumulator

fitted a new custom autocraft bomb, and its faulty, giving me all the usual symptoms of (!) and soft brake pedal. On engine off, i can only get 3-5 pedals before it goes rock hard.

mmmmm, I have the same one ready to be fitted. You are the first one complaining about this item. Are you sure you made no mistakes while fitting it?

im in contact with Paul(that is were i bought the bomb which seems to be faulty) and he is a great guy, already putting in the post a new one to try on.

new part from audi: 324.26+vat by the way...

no mistakes when fitting it. My mechanic said it was a straight fit and simple to do.

all i hope is that the unit i got was faulty and the new one paul is sending will do the trick... fingers crossed

Yes, I have also good experiences with Paul. Let's hope this was a one-off error of the hardware.

I got 2 pbs on mine :

- steering pump
- acumulator bomba

after changing the pump red light was always there
so I decided to change "the bomb"
paul's bombs are good, i've tested it

the one is no good enough is the pressure that my "new" steering pump deliver ...

So now I only have the red alerte once in the morning, after I drive 2 min everyting lights off and no pbs during all day

Steeing pump is refurbish one (120e on ebay instead of 450€ OEM) and do the work well, just need a little time to wake up ine the morning
