How much we talking about Pete for Victor Reinz or similar high quality items with metal head gasket ?

Got a nasty feeling I have a head gasket issue here.

I made the mistake of ordering a cam cover and throttle body gasket from Audi, €63

Last one i got from gsf was about £75,my local engine recon place(which are normally very good on prices) wanted £235

Both were Reinz by the way

I was talking about the head set(minus bolts),ordered in branch

They are all victor reinz sets, GSF don't carry too many stock of them though. My mate had to get me a set in to the Birmingham branch

GSF Grossly Stupid Feckers

told me they could get a head set (well my garage i work at) without gasket, and 1 inlet valves.
ordered headgasket from audi (40.99) and cam pulley (58!!)
Valves turn up next day, well 9 of them and 1 random non fitting thing nothing like correct valves!!
no headset?! rang them...... we spoke to you and said we could no longer supply them.........

So i just orderd individual gaskets from euros and it worked out roughy same price
headbolts from euro`s were £6 each, waterpump was £30ish belt £10 tensioner pulley £20ish


Also if you fit a steel headgasket make sure the head isnt pitted arround the waterways close to the edge of the head or it will leak, trust me
