    ur S6 Parts & Advice

Ok folks, I have a '96 ur S6 in my driveway now and it's hungry for some love. It's in the wrong place for polishing and all that but I'll put a few new parts into her all the same.

    1. The suspension is knackered. Not going to lower it so what shocks will I use and has anybody got some for sale?
    2. Passenger side front door electric window mechanism; again anybody got one for sale?
    3. Bonnet in Blue / Navy please if anybody has one?
    4. Boost Hoses for AAN engine?
    5. Homefried ECU. The car is automatic and has an IMMO.

Anybody got any BTDT's they would like to share in terms of worthwhile upgrades servicing etc.

    Also on my list:
    Auxillary Water Pump (ordered)
    Ignition Switch is sticking (ordered)
    Spare Key
I also need about £2000 if anybody has it spare...

I'm using Bilstein shocks on mine with H&R springs, very comfortable ride compared to an S2. Sits too low on the H&R's and way too high on the stock springs, there is no happy medium that i know of. From memory there are different versions of the Bilsteins for different ride height/springs, it been so long i honestly cant remember.

Talk to Paul first about the homefry, i'm using his AAN homefry in mine but the autobox might complicate matters.

Got an all aluminium intercooler (stock one) not the one with the plastic end tanks and boost pipes from it to throttle body and the main plastic one that runs undertneath the front subframe that came of mine. Just don't have the one that comes of the turbo anymore as I chopped as a temporary interim thing.

Utterly aggree with that. Looks menacing on H&R's but i am casually hunting for a suitable alternative middleground.

Yeh if any news comes up on that i'd be interested too, i've had other cars lowered too much and they drive awfull! I'd like about 10 - 20mm drop on my S6, so if anyone knows of anything let us hear about it!!

I'm using Bilstein B8 shocks with H&R springs which are meant for a 200Q - works really well.. think it's lowered by about 30mm. Ride isn't too harsh but is glued to the track if you're that way inclined.

I've got an old Sachs kit for an S6 if you're interested but it lowers by 45mm and IMO is a bit too low for most B roads.

                        Thanks Guys,
I don't really know what to do about the shocks / ride. Can't afford for it to run lower, considering the roads around here and my style of driving. Already banged the exhaust off a speed bump. Cheers URs6Tom but 45mm is deffo out of the question. Will probably go for bilstein and stock for starters.

I'll try to get her back to standard and reliable before I chip it anyway.

Does anybody do boost hoses for this engine / setup?

The boost gauge on the dash is showing about 1.8 on wot is this right? It's pulling like an absolute train. What sort of readout are you guys seeing?

1.8-1.9 is about right for a stock engine. Sometimes 2.0 on overboost. I have a load of parts for sale if you search my user name in the for sale section. Drop me a pm if interested in any of the parts and I will see what I can do for price. Craig

List 30mm lowering springs for the ur S4/S6 - under Model: 100Quattro>Chassis: S4/S6 , not Model: S6 Chassis - although the engine listed is incorrect..
