All Audi in Brislington might help, I got mine from them and had it powder coated.

Phil, how bad is it? Sit down and take a deep breath. I had the same last year, they can be DIY refurbed if you feel that way inclined.

There are a couple of guides knocking about if you do a search.

Getting the bloody thing off is the hardest bit.

      Cheers,

      Steve.

        yep.

when removed you can knock on it and find the weak bits. there are some very thin areas to start with.

The garage (very friendly Audi experienced guys called R&D Autos in Bristol) say you can poke a finger through in three places :-(

That doesn't sound good I must admit. I am sure it could be sorted off the car, but I guess you need it replaced ASAP do you?

Are you going to replace yourself or do you want one to give to your garage to fit right now?

You could try Sal on here.

            Cheers,

            Steve.

Best bet is to try Spink or Johnnybravo, there was a couple for sale the other day in the for sale section.

IIRC the subframe is same on some other cars, can't remember exactly

you can fit a rear subframe off a 7A, AAH, 3B or ABY engined coupe quattro, they are all the same
IIRC some of the 10v CQs did not have a rear ARB so cannot be used without some custom work.

FWIW there seem to be a lot ABY subframes failing at the moment, I wonder if they used a thinner gauge steel to make the later frames? All the 3B / CQ ones I've seen have been solid
