    Wtd: polisher

Looking for a polisher so I can finally makes use of the £100 of swirl remover, polishes, waxes and pads I bought ages ago. I have to keep the cost down though after buying new body parts for the A4 and getting the missus to agree to a milltek.
    cheers

Do you want a random orbit or rotary?
You can buy both brand new for well under £100

or this one if you fancy a rotary

They really are nothing to be scared of, you just need to be sensible and do your reading up/homework

Good question mate. I went halfers with a friend on a rotary from machine mart years ago (think it was about 60 quid) and tried it on an old 80. but to be honest I just plugged it in, turned it up full and slapped a bit of something onto the wool bonnet. cue burnt paint and little bits of wool all over the place. the foam pads I have are around 6 or 7 inch diameter so I think they're suppose dto be for a random orbit polisher. I intend to read up a bit before trying whatever I get and will practice on the old bumper i'm taking off before I go nuts on the news ones.. and the rest of the car

You could try looking on Detailing World, but 2nd hand ones seems to hold their value well and always sell pretty quick, so sometimes its just as easy to buy a new one.
I paid £75 for my Porter Cable and transformer 2nd hand which had been advertised on DW, and then add on petrol to go and collect it

ah that's a sensible idea to look on DW. never mind petrol, i'd need to pay international courier charge, not that bad through parcel2go or interparcel but it's still a good £20 or more. still beats the hell out of buying it here though.
