    RS2 Winter Wheels

After last winters snow and ice I've decided to get a set of RS2 winter wheels with some proper winter tyres fitted. Eagle F1's are frankly dangerous in icy/snow conditions and plan to take these off the car when the average temp drops a bit more.

Question: What are the OEM winter RS2 wheels called? What size are they etc?
I think they're a narrower rim but still 17" - anyone know? Rob?

    Muchos gracias.

According to family album they are as follows on RS2 - 8A0 601 025Q 6Jx16 with ET51.3 no less - stupidly expensive but thats a good quide to recommended size & offset.

6J must be fronts as the rears are something like 225/50R16 so should be a 7.5J or 8J...

Could also look at the 968 Coupe thin 5 spoke 16s, might look a little different

Oh yeah of course they will be 5x130 bolt pattern too so a scurry round the Porsche sites is probably best plan of action.

I've got some OE ABY Avus and Michelin Primacy for the winter. Those Eagle F1s are brilliant in the dry and wet but anything under 5degC and they're like wooden blocks and they were lethal in the snow - my snow car wasa BMW 318is with and LSD rather than a quattro

There must be a 17X6 or 17x7 in Porsche dimensions that is useful for winter.

A 6J would run 185-205 winter nicely... I love my Pirelli Wintersports when its cold/wet/frosty - great in the snow, but I think I need a fresh set this year. Will have to look for whats available. Oh and get the wheel alignment sorted first of all to save me chewing them up too soon.

The rims on the car now = 7x17 OEM RS2.
The OEM winter rims is 6x16 front and rear.

i recall rob mentioning he used the rs2 winter alloys, but they won't fit over big reds. I'm going to have a look out, perhaps i should use mine as winter alloys - need new tyres - and try for a new set rather than getting them refurbed. How much for a decent used or new OEM set?
