don't know if that will be much fun for you but anyway, I got a reply from him. Will try to translate it.

It has no MOT currently, it needs new CV boots at the front, a pair of rear discs and maybe a little welding on the exhaust. The engine is in good order starts and runs well.
No damage at all and the 4 tyres are as new.
He owned the car for 15 years! and has the history from the car of the first 4 years.

Sounds not too bad all in all

Sounds good, do you think he will take an offer on it?

And I'm guessing I would have to trailer it back? Or come with rear pads in my travel case :-)

                    an offer like?

Driving home should be possible I guess, could have it on a lift here to have a look underneath.

I don't know about the license plate though...maybe we could get an export plate for it.

Do I need to ask him for more pics? And what are you willing to spend?

If you can get some more pictures and find out what I need to do to make it drive home, as regards tax, mot etc I can drive it from there to my home as an imported car with neither , your help will be rewarded :-) is much appreciated!

we don't have tax like you guys have. Mot might be possible but at costs as the CV boots needing to be replaced, exhaust welded (maybe) and the rear discs may need to be replaced.

As soon as the car is registered by the buyer it needs to be insured by the buyer and the buyer has to pay tax from the moment the car is registered on his name.

                              Wab,

Just watching from the sidelines, excuse my query, but when are you keen to get a LHD being based in the UK? Is it only for track use?

                              Good luck with the retrieval.

                              Kind regards.

@david Rs2 sedan could only truly be lhd ;-)

@patrick I have trade insurance that covers me in europe, so wouldn't be a problem, tbh as long as it will drive 500miles not bothered about the mot, I can bring tools with me to change pads etc if I need to
