    3B Rotor arm needed ASAP

The good old 'glued on' rotor arm halted my distributor replacement yesterday, does anyone have a 3B rotor arm I could purchase or does anyone know where I can get one?

    Thanks,

    Gareth

I spent ages trying to find a rotor arm with the correct sized tip for my 3b, cross referencing part nos etc and the ones that were supposed to be 3b invariably came up with larger sized tips that can cause spark hop. I was in a bit of a hurry so in the end used a 7a arm and filed the tip down to the correct 11mm with (will need to check but I think thats right!) There are quite a few posts on about sourcing the right arm, but this solution worked for me

Toyota part number is in this thread

Last time I checked ( about 6 weeks ago ) it was still available, I'm sure it's NLA from Bosch, but the Toyota part is Bosch.

Thanks for all the replys.... annoying thing is that the replacement dizzy I have had the wider 7a rotor on it, i made the mistake of thinking it would be simple to swap the rotor off my old 3B onto it and so promptly managed to knacker the 7a rotor trying to get it off, in hindsight I should have read up and filed it down! Hopefully Toyota will still do them and I'll get a nice spanking new one of the correct size!

Will let you all know if Toyota are still doing them.

                Cheers,

                Gareth

Update - Toyata still do them

Just a quick update to let you know that Toyota still do the rotor arm AndyP pointed me toward - PN 19102-02020 ..... bit of a wait for them to get it in stock , will arrive with them on Friday.

Fingers crossed it'll be the right one!

                  Cheers,

Give pete a ring at quattro corner, and tell him you want a narrow tipped rotor arm,he will know what you mean.I think it an 11mm tip.The audi part no is the wrong one its for the 14mm,which is what you dont need

i have two different rotors on order.. one from a trusted bosch/german parts supplier, and one from toyota - pn# 19102-02020 . will report back as to what i get.. but 18 mm is BAD when audi list the WRONG one which is at 14mm. cheers for the reply if all fails i will get one from quattro corner.. starting to realize the pn# shananagins that goes on with these s2's
