    S2/RS2 avant rear spoiler

Been trying to find one of these rear spoilers for my RS2 as like the look.

Need to get my bumpers resprayed soon, so would be good to do this at the same time.

Saw an older thread on this, but any other ideas where I can get one? Extensive searching online has drawn a blank, even on German ebay using 'heckspoiler'.

    Cheers,
    Neal

i have bought mine through ebay.de. however i have to say they need some modding to make it sit properly and you also have to drill the metal to pass the cables in. Finally the little bulb mechanism is not the best in the world but it can be made to work adequatelly.

I'd be interested to know where from as well.

Is it a copy of any original option?

While the original is nice, to me the copy is a better choice. With the original, once mounted on the hatch does not allow for the bulbs to be replaced due to its downward facing screws. There isn't any room to get a screwdriver on the screw heads that hold the lense in place. I have a picture of this at home that I'll post tonight.

By the way, the spoiler in the first post on this thread is a replica.

I've got a the replica part but I still can't decide if I want to use it on my project so it my be for sale in the future.

Be good to see an OEM one, so yes please on pics. Don't suppose you have a part number for the original one?

                Simoni,

You might as well for everyone's knowledge / info.

They look good, but the idea of drilling the metal tailgate puts me off. I presume with the original spoiler the metal has to be drilled also for the electrical wires?

Am I being naive to think of drilling the rear screen instead and using a suitable grommet?

                Thanks.

                    Tom,

When you publish the definitive colour pictorial reference book for RS2s, I'll buy it no questions asked.

                    Fair play.

Do you happen to know the part number for the rear aero wiper arm in the photo ? I accept it is not an OEM part, btw.

Another possible source folks, although prefer the original/original copy style.

David, I'll be sure to get you a signed and numbered copy.

I don't know, but I can ask my German friend who is the owner where the wiper originated.

If you could let me know where your german friend gets his wiper blades from too. I have that aero rear wiper arm and can't find a replacement blade for love nor money and all I get is smears across the rear window when I use it!

Tom is right, the OE one is a complete **** to change the lights in, it can be done, but you need a VERY short number 2 bit and a pair of long nose Vise-Grips. Also a length of masking tape on the glass is a good plan, i need to remove mine to change the lights.

Does anyone know if there is a clear or LED replacement for the OE hella?
