WR pistons WANTED

What size do you need? standard, first oversized etc.

If you are struggling i can make enquiries with my engine builder as i had a full set of (genuine mahle) first oversized fitted when the WR engine was rebuilt.

quattrokid had a set he mentioned today on c/audi but think someone else is interested so expect the price to go up.

standard if poss as the bores are pretty good,but let me know on those

there are 2 diff WR engines... the ALUone 79,30 and the normaly steel one 79,50....???. if you need to rebore the block; why dont use some 81,00 from a 3b or aan, adu??
think the reboreprice are the same.

alloy one?is that common?never heard of that but this one is 79.5mm

The SQ block was the alloy one AFAIK, but wasn't that the KR code?

nope very early wr's came with a alloy block but because these used to wear out very quickly they got changed under warranty from audi normally.

Audi produced alimited run of alloy blocks for homoligation, They suffered from issues with porrus failures and where as pete says changed under warranty. The alloy engine was different in many ways to an iron WR block as all of the brackets and mounts where unique to it. They still come up occasionally but are really nothing special in a WR.
