The pump is working fine, so i think the circuit board is shorting.
Looking at the latest ETKA the part is superceeded with the prefix j so i'll give a j a try.

            A conclusion to this,
Thanks k7erg for the pump, the "J" model does not work with the S2 you get interior lights only, the "D" model works a treat as does the original "F", i got a "D model and it has cured my indicators acting like hazard lights problem.
I am now searching for a new rear wheel bearing, then the S2l will be sold. I bought a Touareg V6tdi with just about every optional extra---the dynaudio sound system rocks.
Its been a mission, but parts and time are getting harder to find for the S2, i want something which will take me & family anywhere pulling a couple of ton.
The Treg is amazing 70k Km, RNS510, DVD, Quad climate, Auto tail gate, dimming mirrors, reversing camera, full electric memory black & cream leather interior, sat nav, dynamic bi-xenons, the electrics scare me but VAGcom is on order, ETKA 7.3 & Elsawin are installed so i'm well and truely armed.
I only hope the Treg can be half the car the S2 has been.
I'll let you know when it is sold

ordered a set this week from a local supplier, will let you know the price when I get them next week. Ow and I believe they're not too dear on ebay.de, but don't know if they'd ship it to you.
