I agree with this, a cooldown is fine, but you KNOW your pump is not working/there so you have to cooldown, others may assume their pump works and not bother

It is resonable to remove the pump/leave in place not working, and just remember not to stop the engine straight away after a hot run, I've only replaced it as A my turbo was very expensive, and B it doesn't harm having a cooldown and after run pump!

It is certainly no use for the OP... hence the sorry mate bit

However, I have other plans for it now, I looked at it and thought, shugar, (woops nearly swore there) I could use this with a little superglue

              Hi Spink,

How much would you take for one of them?

              regards,

they sell them new in GSF too, however they need a little modification to fit them onto the s2 plug. Definately worth an inspection from time to time these units...the originals are as brittle as anything given their location and constant ambient heat cycles....mine sprung a leak from the outlet plastic literally crumbling.

Thank you all for all your input.

It's got to get fixed at somepoint - unfortunately that point is dictated by finances!

I'll give GSF a shout and see how I get on.

Many thanks to all for their help,
                    Jigs
