trying to find out the timming procedure for a w12 engine.
car has had front end damage which has damaged the exhaust variators (back of the engine)
the cams are chain driven and understand there is a profile tool to position the cams, locking pin for the crank etc.
is the tool the same as say a v6 engine?
do the variators need to be set as the v6 ones are? ie inlet pushed back to stop before being locked up?
theres some importance about certain links in the timming chain when its being set, what are these?
anybody shed any light on this or have access to the relavent info?
any help much apricated
