They also won't fit under 16" wheels, but then neither will the 996's if you are running 3b wheels.

As for a guide on 996 kit prices, 3 years ago my original kit cost me the following: -

              996 'Monoblocks' £300.00
              314x30 Discs £79.84
              Seat carriers £35.77
              Car/Cal Bolts £13.49
              RS2 Hard lines £13.44
              1L Racing Blue £15.95
              Ferodo DS2500 £123.18
              TOTAL £581.67

Since the SEAT carriers have more than doubled and VAGparts are no longer with us, I would guess on the same again costing £650

              Cheers n

What's the deal with these Seat brackets, are they similar to the ones bambridge makes but cheaper? Acquired myself a pair of silver Boxster S calipers from ebay a few weeks ago... need to get the rest of the bits now.

Thanks all, those seat brackets were cheap! Currently running 18" wheels so no worries. Maybe I'll do one side at a time to keep the cost down
Thanks Andy funny seen them myself on ebay.
                    Cheers simon

SEAT carriers were £35 the pair rather than £85 each for the RS2 ones (Bambridge items were not available in those days), plus they definately allow the use of 314mm discs under 16" wheels - not sure if that is true with RS2 carriers

The downside of the SEAT carrier is that the offsets are wrong so you have to machine the 2 faces down, but that is a £10 job for a machine shop.

These days I would use Bambridge items

                      Cheers n

The Seat brackets are silly money now, well over £100 each. They must have twigged people were buying too many of them so thye hiked the price up
