WTB - ABY - Hydraulic Power Steering Hose

Look for a good condition hydraulic hose from the power steering pump to the bomb. The one with the outer black plastic sleeve.

    I think the part number is 895 612 065 B ?

    pm any comments.

    TIA.

i will look back home if the part is the same for LHD/RHD. I have one which should be brand new. if it is the correct part, i can sell it for 100GBP+shipping

gift as paypal or bank transfer.

I think new is something in the region of 180GBP. Someone may confirm.

        David,
I'll get you a copy made in Tullamore if you wish. €30 max. I'm in Dublin in the morning have you the damaged hose out?

What material is that? All high pressure hoses I have read it used so far in the system tend to increase noises. Is be interested to know if there is a proper replacement!

The guy I'm referring to makes replacement hydraulic hoses for all types of industrial machinery. Similar to "Hose Doctor" in the UK. If the bore of the pipe is a match for the original part and the fittings are the same then it should work fine shouldn't it?

I had recently one made for.my power steering and it was noisy as hell. Fitted an oem and noise is completely gone. So I am not impressed with the usual braided equivalents to high pressure replacements. If this is something different, then id like to see the results!

Like for like replacement, I don't think anybody could handle the power losses that bigger machinery would have if the replacement stuff was all braided inside. I'll take some photos the next time I'm having a hose replaced for clarity.

                  Vas,

Thank you for the offer, however given it's cost either new or even your one, I may ask Pirtek over here to make one up using the end connections from my old one.

With 86 centres throughout the UK and Ireland, there’s no company more reliable than Pirtek in a hydraulic hose emergency. Learn more, here!

Also two members have kindly pm'd me to say they'll check to see if they have one, so will see what Pirtek can do, and see who has what.

A second hand one in good condition should suffice.

Shane, call in if you've time.

                  Kind regards.

David, likewise if you're stuck you can have anything you want out of the coupe engine bay.

Given that our chat would likely run into hours rather than minutes I won't call in tomorrow. I'll give you a shout over the weekend.

I'd also be interested to know what pirtek would charge, have you a contact who'll do it for a good price?

no problem David. If you try and things dont work out, give me a shout, as mine is just sitting. I have no bomb anymore so its no use to me.
we can work something out in the end!
