    WTB Boost and Ignition Chips

Hi guys, as the thread suggests, I'm after a pair of uprated chips for my ABY powered Quattro. Reason for wanting is that the standard ones are shot and now is the right time to upgrade. Keith @ Dialynx seems to remember that there is a forum member on here from Ireland that can help. Engine is in standard form and not planning any major hikes. Around 300hp is plenty.
    Any help accepted ....

    1. You are not getting 300hp on stock engine.
    2. What do you mean that the stock chips are "shot"? Huh? What are the symptoms exactly?
    3. I can provide you with a set if you want. Can be shipped from the UK.

Chips don't usually degrade and wear out (unless they were some inferior, non-OE quality chips added by somebody). In addition to prj, there is Paul N. at S2central.net in N. Ireland (http://s2central.net/) and MRC from the UK that have chip sets and the required 3.0 Bar Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sender needed to get you to about 280 crank hp on the stock K24-7000 ABY turbo and injectors.

Here is some MAP info for bedtime reading:

Hi, thanks for the quick replies.
When I say they're shot, When I did the ABY conversion on my UR, I had the immob took out of the ecu ( by a so called expert in ECU repairs and removed it poorly )and since the project finished it has suffered from severe hesitation and poor performance.
Keith @ Dialynx has the car at the mo and has substituted a known good ecu and the car runs perfect, hence the need for new chips.

That's a bummer I have to say mate. You should have given me or Tristan a shout and tried a spare ECU for nought.

Edit- Do you not have any come back on the :corey: who fried your ECU?

Sorry, what I meant to say is that I don't want the car to have massive power, hence 300 would be the absolute max. To retain reliability and driveability I have no plans for big turbos etc, When you see the car you will appreciate that if I had massive power, I would probably bin it and trash a 5 year restoration project ...

              DOH !
Never mind Kit, I'm just glad to get to the root of the problem and having spent over 15K restoring the car, Thats why I bought the S2 to run around in ( a long time ago now ! ! !) before I broke her for the conversion.
Next time your passing, drop by and and have a look at the ole girl.

Spoke to the 'ecu expert' who said that it only had 30 day warranty...... and should have spoke to him sooner, hey ho...you live in learn.

It might not be the chips alone...
Something might have been done to the ECU. Best if you would send the whole unit over.

I can't imagine that the "ecu expert" was a forum member here because the one's that are here, I am quite sure, would just fix the issue and not hide behind a BS "30 day warranty".
