am looking to replace my missing (yes an airline lost it while i was shipping it to have it refurbished) RS2 (ADU) cylinder head. or even an upgraded head that would fit ( am not technical so advice would be most appreciated too)
The head for the RS2's ADU engine has a part number of 034103351N. This is also the part number of the S2's ABY engine and the C4 UrS4 and UrS6's AAN engine. There are lots of AAN engines in North America if you are indeed from the USA. So a) there is hope and b) you don't need an actual ADU head, just and ABY or AAN head.
Good luck.

In my experience, the early heads are much less prone to cracking. Any 7A, 3B, or early ABY heads are likely to be in good nick.
If you can find a really early ABY head which has been modified from the factory from a 3B casting (boss added to accept a hall sensor) it isn't likely to have any cracks around the valve seats, and its a direct fit to any S2/RS2.
Similarly, you could buy a 3B head and have the hall sensor boss added, or get a 7A head and have the water manifold machining done and a hall sensor boss welded on.

That factory modification of the 3B head to make it an AAN head (with the cam sensor at the front) might have been modification of the early AAN heads that had the Hall sender in the "tuna can" driven off the end of the early AAN intake cam. Not that that detail matters since the part used in the modification does not officially exist.
