          034 133 471 N is the RS2 part nr
I'd prefer a new one, or one that very few "miles"

          Thanks!

That's an S2 one with the less free flowing mesh. No idea if the mesh from my old RS2 MAF can be taken out and put onto an S2 MAF... thus basically making it an RS2 MAF again?

It can, but great care is needed... I have an RS2 MAF that I replaced as it's reading a little low, and tried to pull the mesh out. Unfortunately i snapped a couple of pieces of the plastic mesh but it did slot in place of the wire mesh on an S2 MAF.

                        It's in backorder

Bosch dealer was quite funny. 960+tax +10€ transport because it needs to come from germany. He offered 20% discount, after which he suggested he'd order it

I had a right job finding a new RS2 MAF... the S2 one can be bought and 'converted' as per my previous thread for about £200 but I decided to pay a bit extra and pay for the RS2 part number printed on it

Pete Reeve can't get them any more, Hoffer can for about £250 last time I asked, not sure about RWD19T but worth a shot.... also ordered one from TPS and arranged a courier to collect it for me. Can't remember cost but it was about £230 and took a few days to come in.

Personally - buy one new. I have one that worked well on my old car, but was underreading a bit and costing a few ponies. As they only get worse, figured it was worth replacing it, as I was maxing it out anyway... when I was making ~370hp it was fine but with >400 you want one reading over 200.. think the new one was 215 vs 190 on the old one or somehting like that.

I'll let Prj decide this weekend on the condition of my current MAF, but a new one will certainly come as it's too old to be sure. Luckily a good item will be there if needed during mapping

I'm having a slight wavy acceleration at low rpm & load when cold. When warm it's pretty much gone I think. Also I've noticed a hesitation on initial throttle when driving away just after coldstart. So for example when shifting low rpm from 1-2nd it hesitates a bit... like it isn't accepting the throttle, but then after a second or so it does. Warmed up that dissapears.

No misfires, no fault codes, no boost oscillation, and WOT (or even driving with some boost) it flies perfectly.

New lambda getting fitted thursday, but it remains the original 16 year old MAF that I'm looking at as guilty

when i had a maf i always remember wishing that it would actually throw a code now and then. 90% of the time it doesnt but there is a problem with it.

I think Dmitri needs to make his RS2 replacement maf for all you guys, as if they become that expensive and extinct its going to be difficult finding one, as they seem to perish that fast as well
