Wanted, Audi S6 Auto 1995 Transfer Box or Torsen Diff

A friend of mine has just bough a 1995 Audi S6 Auto with a dead Torsen diff. The gearbox itself is fine.

Has anyone got a dead Auto gearbox with a good transfer box on the back? or even just the Torsen diff?

I've been trying to look up the part number for the torsen diff in the auto gearbox but VW doesn't show the internal parts of the transfer box for the Auto.

The gearbox is a CSG code. The Transfer box would originally have been a 01F409749 but that has been superseded to 01F409749B.

    Get it to manual.
    Needed:
    Box
    Rear dif
    Front drive shafts
    Propshaft
    Pedals
    Clutch kit(plate,disc,fly)
Shifting mec(and a little mod to tunel)
You can get a v6 100 quattro at little money and you are all there. The 01a box will be fine if you run stock,or 1.4-1.5 bar peak soft(as far i did go before i changed to 01e 6 gear not knowing that 01e 6 gear is the same as 01a 5'th )

If he wants only auto box i will look for torsen from my ex not working auto box.I am not shure i still have it,box is at junkyard.

        Mg,

Well worth getting this car fixed. Mine is very nice and is an auto, move the gearstick between 2, 3 and 4 and it will behave more like a manual. It will take a week or two before it becomes second nature.

Ask Prj to chip it as an auto.

Will be heavy on juice, but none of these cars are frugal.

All sorted thanks. He's used a torsen diff from a v6 auto quattro.

I'd be tempted to convert it to manual too having driven it earlier this evening.
