I'm looking to have my cat back redone to a 3 inch as it is 2.75 Now.

I'm only referring to the cat back though and has 2 resonators, fairly quiet. If you like we could sort something out. I could sell you that piece. Let me know.

It does make a difference and I have been using this cat back with a 3 inch downpipe and 2 aftermarket cats without issues even with the current 480hp setup. I like the car to be fairly silent, that is why I went for a 2.75inch. Main problem with the stock system are the resonators, not the piping if your aiming at close to stock power figures.

i`m not looking to gain horse`s, want to keep my car as stock as poss, but owning a V6 coupe i know how heavy the oe exhaust is, plus i`m not to keen on the cheap looking tail pipes

well my exhaust definitely reduces weight, and the tail pipes look like this:



I dont want to replace it unless someone want's to have it for 2 reasons. 1) i dont have any space to keep it until it resells, 2) i am perfectly happy with it, and the only reason i would change it is just for that bit of extra safety in regards to exhaust gas temperatures when high revving.

if i dont do another catback in the UK, there is also a plan to drive home in the summer, in which case i may modify it in Greece at the same shop i had it made.

still after one, or can anybody recomend a good place in the west midlands/Coventry to have one made

Look for RS4 2.7T systems on ebay can pick them up cheap(£100) and fit the avant with only alittle fettling and 2.75-3" bore
