Wanted RS2 CAMBELT & Fitting info

    Hi All
So went to my local motor factors for a cambelt and he only had 151 tooth belt (aby/ann). So where can I get 150 tooth rs2 belt.
ALSO just fitted a new belt to my s2 and I've put it so the wording on the belt is the wrong way around i.e you could read it if sat in the drivers seat, does that matter????
    Thanks in advance

As a precaution, I would before you start taking it off, put the engine on TDC, take the cambelt cover off, and take a picture of the cam pulley alignment with the cam cover mark. That way when you come to put it back together you will have a reference!
Guess the RS2 belt is an odd one, so perhaps the Audi dealer!

rs2 belt is shorter because the water pump pulley is smaller. would be a main dealer job. Wouldn't worry about the belt being the wrong way round.

Thanks lads, found a few post's with the cam wheel one tooth back so covered there. Good news about the belt don't want to have to take it off again if I can help it!

Thanks URs4boy, just did the belt on the 3b and I new that was 147 teeth same as 7a. Just ordered from the Stealers £40!!!! Rip off when you can get aby for 15-20 quid. Interestly they confirmed it does not matter which way the writing faces on fitment of the belt

I was only able to source one from the dealer also.

I've noticed that some aftermarket companies, i.e. Conti, incorrectly list the RS2 and S2(ABY) as using the same ABY spec belt.

I suppose I could have just fitted an aby belt with an aby spec water pump and saved a few quid.
