Different engines different bhp outputs gtx3076 us suppose to be able do 640 but no reference on i5 installs

Don't know who came up with the 640 figure? As when they did testing with the gtx vs gt frames. 3071 had 15% increase in flow but 3076 only 3-4% increase as the exhaust side couldn't reap tue benefits. Whereas the 35 series again showed the big % increases.

The hybrid I'm running is close to a gtx3076. And it didn't matter what boost we there at it 570 it maxxed out at 1.7bar although this could be down to the stock backbox as couldn't open the bypass valve on the dyno due to noise.


Ps sorry for the irrelevant answer to your search. For a decent 4094 have a look around the jap forums as its a popular turbo with them. The gtx35 good luck finding one second hand.

I want/will put the GTX on a strocker block - diesel + head work + bigest valves We can find on the net (34mm/5,5mm steam intake valves,28,5mm exh.) + Catcams for mechanical lifters and everything what I can do to produce the max HP from the engine. Thats why I think the turbo will make its maximum - 750 crank HP. The same with GT4094r...
I just dont know which A/R to be the exhaust housing.

If you are using very agressive / high lift cams , most probably you will not benefit from the smaller AR, you will get the same spool-up.

Real world test in my case, 2 somewhat similar turbos GTK650 with 0.63AR - CT43 67/79 with 0.81 AR and 79mm turbine wheel spoolup was the same. Probably even with 0.96 AR will be very close.

I've think about .95 - 1.06 ar - engine will be at list 2.6l displacement - need to be more than .82. + correct lunch, the GT4094 should have 2 bar's around 5200 - 5400 rpm . Am I correct?
