    Camshaft sleeve for 3B

It seems that my 3B still has leaky camshaft seal so I though I'd try the sleeve that was mentioned in that thread.

    This is the sleeve. http://www.theautopartsshop.com/auto...ir-sleeve.html

Problem seems to be that that place wants to setup US-based mail address to be able to ship outside US. It would have setup cost and probably monthly fee as well.

The other place that I found is partsgeek.com, but they won't ship outside US.

I tried Ebay and searched from google too, but that 99128 sleeve seems to be hard to find. I could find lots of other camshaft seals from ebay.

So any idea where to find the place that sells that sleeve and also ships outside US?

Why don't you just ask if someone here has a good 3B exhaust cam for sale? Or even a 7A exhaust cam (which will open up some top end hp for you)? This sleeve idea looks dodgy at best.

The sleeve is a perfectly good repair. I first used them on over the road trucks to keep from replacing/repairing expensive crankshafts. I have used these on a Land Rover Defender to repair a bad crankshaft seal. I have used this style seal repair kit to fix a leaking 1.8t camshaft seal. It is a precision piece. Give it a try for yourself, cheaper than a camshaft.

Certainly cheaper than a new camshaft but not necessarily cheaper than a good used 3B camshaft.

Where can you find good used 3B camshaft for 25euros (30dollars?). Already quickly looked from Ebay.

And since I'm already doing this the hard way I'm going to test that sleeve first.

And I'm not want to take a change that the new camshaft would also have that same groove than the current one.

edit: Checked from German ebay. Audi S2 nockenwelle search returned few hits. Price variate from 59euros to 950euros. Cheapest ones had similar grooves than mine has.
