I'm looking for the following:
RS2 Avant Roof rails
Digital Climate Control unit - not sure when it was launched, but there are a few cars released with the digital control unit.
These items will need to be shipped to South Africa.

Is your car RHD? If so climate control was never fitted to 80's/S2's/RS2's. Some people have retro fitted it though from the likes of early A4's. Have a search on the fourm and you will find some threads with people doing the conversion.
Also, I think you will find that Audi 80 rails are the same as RS2 ones? So you should be able to find them locally.

Thanks Golfboy. Its a RHD car and I've looked locally for a while to no avail.
I guess that may be the only way out, unless I find one off a LHD car..

No it isnt the one. The one I'm referring to is similar to the B5 unit, ans if one looks at the cars handbook, its in there, and marked subject to availability in various regions.

The old Vacuum climate control was never fitted to RS2's.
Those were fitted only to 3B. All ABY and ADU engined cars used the later control.

Not for RHD cars, NO RHD came with climate control. It was not an option for RHD cars

And in the 2nd he says his car is RHD, so either his car has been converted aftermarket or he's after the wrong part.

Yes, I am aware. Should have maybe said "all ABY/ADU cars which had the climate control factory fitted used the later control".

But if his car was converted, I seriously doubt the old vacuum system was used.
Either way, you can't say "he needs the vacuum system", you have no information to go on, also that thing is a proper POS, the newer one is much better.

Guess the standard one will have to suffice.
