Most saabs measure ionization in cylinder to determine knock via the spark plug.
Must be from an older one...
All new cars that use knock sensors use wideband sensors and digital circuitry to filter the signal, instead of the signal filter being built into the sensor. Tatech does the same.
This significantly lowers manufacturing cost of the knock sensors, as one sensor can fit almost any car.Comment

Loads of places sell the green sensor and hardly anyone stocks the brown one. I can't see any reason why the 3B and ABY ones would be different? In fact, I'm about to convert to ABY ECU and coils, so I should be purchasing the ABY ones!91 Modded 3B

Are we in agreement that the only difference between the green and brown knock detectors is the lead length? That and the colour difference of the plugs?
One sensor is stocked by all and cheap (green) the brown lead doesn't appear to be stocked and it's more expensive.91 Modded 3B

7A is a different sensor, visibly very different in that its a metal stud with the lead coming out the center unlike the ABY plastic one with a bolt holding it on. Personally i wouldn't dream of inter changing them as they are for the Shitachi EFI not Bosch motronic.91CQ20v - Gone to a new home
