I need one from a saloon. I believe the avant part has a cutout for the boot release handle. Interesting about the lights being angled differently.

Ya I swapped them from my saloon to the avant and I never even noticed the difference, you're right about the panel I forgot about the handle too

You can cut an opening for the handle if you have an avant. I have an avant center on my sedan with no handle but an opening for one.

I find that very hard to believe. AFAIK, inners are the same for sedans and avants. Outer corners, they are different.

On the 100 they are the inner lights are the same between the saloon and wagon. The inner part is different on the S4 wagon and S4 saloon.

Agree. I think the idea that the 100 inners are different (slanted/not so slanted) is based on an optical illusion created by the licence plate holder that is slanted inwards at the top when the taillights are actually vertical.

At least we agree, 100 sedan/saloon and avants/estates (Euro and UK) have the same inner taillights but different plate holders: 4A9853465 for the sedan/saloon 4A9853465 for the avants/estates.
