Shame mine on my breaker has a spun bearing... but if you're looking for a ported and polished inlet manifold, enlarged throttle and MAF let me know, combined they give a good improvement to the 2.8.

Got a 2.6 v6 in an a4 quattro 1996. Can be heard running. It's in Selkirk just over the border in Scotland. Car is complete and all parts are available.
