I have Movit brakes on the S2. They are ridiculously efficient, never fade in the slightest and provide ALOT of progressive stopping power, possibly too much. They came with the car when I bought it, so cannot comment on the cost but I am not looking forward to having to replace them whenever that might be. I understand you can replace the pads without removing the calipers which would be handy but I did see a receipt in the history for £140 which seemed alot just the pads, I expect to need some soon the amount of braking you have to do in these cars.

Only downside is needing a decent rear upgrade to make the balance better. At present, I think it is too nose heavy on braking rather than forcing the whole car down on the road in a hunkered fashion. Under most normal driving situations, they are fine, but if you are braking really hard from speed, the front end can get a little twitchy. Although they appear brand new, I will be looking to sort out the rear brakes soon. I would love the car to sit a little more rather than dive as it does. That said, it stops on a penny, just stay alert ha ha.

This is the probably the cheapest tried and tested setup. You should be able to buy all parts needed for £600 - £800 depending on what grade of pads & discs you choose to go for.

The problem with aftermarket kits like Movit is generally the high cost of replacement discs and pads.

I recently upgraded my rears - the S8 setup outlined here:

The balance is a lot better now.

Whereabouts in Oxfordshire are you btw?

                              The usual is:
                              Porsche Boxster S 996 front calipers. 996.351.425 & 996.351.426
A8 front brake discs either 323mm or 314mm. The 323mm need 17" wheels, the 314mm fit under 16's.
Brackets to fit them. Bambridge (forum member) sells both types for 314 or 323.
                              Porsche pads.

Lots of people have done this, there are a lot of threads about it, like this one: http://www.s2forum.com/forum/showpos...&postcount=156
