The psychic part number retrieval program is broken. You have to at least tell us what you want it for, e.g. 1991 3B S2?

Much easier than using my psychic powers. PN = 8A0721401 which exclusive to ABY coupes and avants (and presumably the 300 odd sedans) *AND* the RS2.

What is the physical difference between the 3B and the ABY one?

Can't say as I have noticed anything different between the 2 types?

The later one has a bendy pin, and breaks.

The ABY has a slightly thicker push rod which should be harder to bend. Although they seem to bend pretty easily anyway...

Oh right, learnt something new again.

I half half a dozen 3B ones on the shelf.

Is it worth having a go at one of these? or should I go main dealer at £200

Worth a try I suppose, the S2 is listed as being compatible. If it bends and breaks under warranty then surely it would be covered and you'd get your money back? Might be worth checking with them. You'd then know and wouldn't have much to loose. You might just have to drive home with no clutch some time soon!
