You mentioned that it does not have to be running and you may want a project car. I know Keith Edwards has a 3B in emerald green but it has no engine and I think some of the drive train has been used elsewhere....but i can ask if you like. He may well have various parts to build up if that's what you want to do.

Have you tried Will at VRS?

Just to echo what the other guys have said, it will cost you to have one of these cars running in the state you want it, whatever. The more that has been done to maintain it the better......there is no substitute for history with lots of bills . It depends where the car is in its life cycle.....cam belt.....engine rebuild etc as to how much you will have to fork out. You can get most bits from somewhere but somethings are getting rarer or NLA as new. One thing is certain, if it is worth knowing it will be mentioned somewhere on this wonderful forum

I dont know the history of this car but came up on a quick search. If I was looking for another S2, I would be checking this one out. Don't worry about the mileage, buy on condition and history. Engine bay at least looks pretty tidy, a nice grill and other than that he claims is standard. Looks half well cared for considering the 190k. Also bound to get it for closer to £2.5k. Gotta be worth a call and quick road trip over the holidays.

Hi John , thanks for getting back to me, the no engine option in bits is probably not what I'm looking for . I don't mind rebuilding and engine if if knackered for example. I'm in no big hurry to buy one , however sooner rather than later.

That is cheap with only 116k miles, RS alloys, sunroof, leather....and i love that colour...but my missus would have a fit!

That ones been knocking around for a long time. First time i saw it was for 4.5k, then 3.5k till about 2 weeks ago, now its 2k. It was originally listed as being in Cork as well.

i went to look at that one in co .clare needs a bit of work.lots of rust underneath and just above the windscreen.the starter and distributor also need replacing.its been parked up for awhile aswel.does anyone know when it was first for sale in cork and at 4.5k. or any other on this car.also does anyone know how much the vrt would be on it
