I also know from experience that my 3B speedo hits a stop at 280km/h or 174mph, even though the car will go faster.

But am I right in thinking the RS2 speedo is different, and has a higher range?

I remember my 7A tacho used to go to an indicated 8600 rpm before hitting the rev limiter.

Maybe if We change the resolution with some more elements inside and make the numbers closer to each other......?

My Old Orange S2 with MTM 320km/h Speedo did 320km/h on speedo, 298km/h according to GPS sat on the windshield.

TBH I can't really see the need. I tend to just glance at the tacho, but mostly keep my eyes on the road. I am yet to find a 320km/h speed limit anywhere that warrants having a speedo that is accurate at those sorts of speeds. On the road you can tell from the gear and rpm that you are going fast.

If you are doing serious v-max runs then you really want some sort of GPS device, or two or three. I prefer to use something that logs that sort of data, so I can just concentrate on driving fast, watching where I am going, then look at the data afterwards.

As above, the speedo would be the last thing I was looking at when doing those kind of speeds but I really would like a speedo that is very accurate at all speeds, rather than the X% under read which is usual from speedos (IIRC they have to under-read slightly by law?)
