I am also enquiring about having the rear sub frame replaced by a local shop preferably in the area but would consider having it done elsewhere if the car can be collected from Trowbridge. This would mean I can leave the car here until the work is done. Interested parties kindly pm your phone number and preferred time to discuss this.

I had commissioned APS in Brackey Northamps 3 years ago for a complete BT application on my TT and am familiar with costs here so no fancy prices please ( The 50 year old in me had to mention this)

I need to pick up my car from Matti by the end of the month and would like to buy/pick-up/have delivered the engine by then in order to transport/ship altogether unless I find someone for the works mentioned above after which I would drive her down to Malta.

I appreciated the previous replies but would like to stick to the subject until I source an engine and get everything organized.

    Best regards to all

    Michael

come with your car to Spain and i will do the conversion

I can do this myself in Malta, really just wanted to have something prepared in the UK with available parts while she's there

Why not just get a cheap Avant for the swap? Pretty much everything other than the prop and cat back exhaust can be used.

            HI Andy,

Considering this as an option and looking into it but it has to be a reasonable runner to make a 2500km trip towing the coupe on a trailer. Also trying to find a garage who would check the coupe out, service/prepare/Mot the coupe and drive her down.

            Cheers

            Michael

Excuse my ignorance but are you after a RHD or LHD car? LHD cars in the UK are rare but go cheap, may be worth looking at Germany and Eastern Europe too.

Considering the amount of effort to swap it all over, why not just get an S2 and stick with that? Would have to have done an awful lot to a CQ to make it worth converting, given the price of S2s nowadays.

BTDT - unless the CQ has been refreshed in every way, just buy an S2

Already bought the Coupe off Matti for 350 here which will be completely stripped and race prepared.
RHD is what we drive in Malta too. S 2 prices ranging from 3 to 5K and would be a shame to strip it.Time Attack/Track/Hill-Climb is the plan 5 to 600 horses to start off with. Running gear are identical as far as I know.

Fair enough if you plan to strip it down completely and build an engine, it makes no difference then really I guess
