    RS2/RR/AAN/ABY Standard Airbox

    What have you got?

Not sure which one of the above is the biggest/least restrictive?

Shame afaik only the RR box will fit the urq chassis, I don't think i've seen any of the others fitted to a urq.

There are pics of an rs2 airbox installed in a ur on the Bennett 2 Bennett website. I asked for a quote and it was around 1k $
The box is slightly modded to fit the type85.
        It can be done

worth trying with an aby airbox first to see as cheaper/easier to source

Just off the wall.... Another thought. Has anyone actually grafted a typ89 inner wing into a typ85 so the standard rs2 airbox fits?

it there that much difference between the wings?

I know an s2 is wider than a urq (seats a good example as ur one's are thinner than s2)

There are a few pictures of cars on motorgeek with a later inner wing grafted into a urq for on oe look with rs2 airbox.

From a practical point of view could you not just modify the stock inner wing? (and get more air in)

Mr Barry has a guy with a 20v template to make the inner wing for a ur.

I have a larger cone to fit as i suspect my apexi is a bit small, also have some heat shield ready and a cold air feed.

I had a second though whether I should look at grafting a stock airbox ipolen, and you can never tell what the fit is like until you have one in your hands! I dont want to cut much of the wing, if at all really.

One thing I dont understand is when people put their filtter in various places that might suck up water!

Sure Jaap (who was one here) done that many years ago on his Urq with an S2 inner wing I cut out my donor car. I'll be doing the same with my 90q

What about the MTM style one that uses the inner wing and a cone filter? Jamo did a thread on this a while ago.

Never had a problem with my set up, cone filter which has been used on a dyno 600bhp engine so good for my 450.. Cold air feed and double insulated from exhaust manifold..
