i dont think the cabri s have the 2.6 lock to lock rack , i asked several ebay sellers to check ,and they all said 3.1 ish

I wouldn't trust anyone on ebay to be fair.
KATE seems to suggest that the late cabrio (post 96) rack is the 2.6 turn item

896 422 056 B is not a valid part number, so I guess they read or typed it wrong?

I have got a aby rack on the way thanks shaun5 , one question i forgot to ask does the rack have the same bolt fixings as a ur rack ,also is the steering column spline the same for either car., i know the hose connections are different thats not a problem

yes I think its bolt-on other than the hose connections

It will bolt on fine, btdt with a s2 rack on a urq.

s2 rack fitted

s2 rack now fitted to the ur rally car 2.6 turns instead of 3.2 ur , next step is to make new lighter steering arms , ur 3kg , target 1.5 , im so sad i even weighed both racks , the s2 rack seems to be 100- 150g lighter [ it all helps]
