Wanted: Front CV joint for Sooty. 2.8 cq

Right, this is driving me mental......

I desperately need a front outer cv for sooty. Its a 2.8 Coupe Quattro front item that has to have 30 splines on the inner side to mate with the tdi shaft.

Motor factors and specialsts are wasting more of my time than i care to mention or simply dont want to check.

Does anyone either have one of these or able to point me inthe direction of somewhere that actual stocks the correct part??

I have a 2.8 CV here but it is 27 inner, 38 outer

Yeash seems its a bit of a weird one with some quoting 27mm.... altho defo seem slike Sootys got 30

Step forward Mike (MikeS2). He kindly located two 2.8 cq front driveshafts and I'm going to remove their outer CV joints and fit them to the end of my TDi driveshafts. Lots of extremely boring internet searching and cross referencing parts, have told me the end of my TDi driveshaft is 24mm in diameter and has a tooth count of 30. I've measured the size and tooth count of the 2.8 CV's and they match. The outer splines of the 2.8 CV match and fit in the S2 front hubs which were sourced from another mate.”


So looks like i still need the 30 inner count ones!! Anybody???

I had fun looking for driveshafts with my setup. It seems there is 2x 2.8 driveshafts. I found on them it was easier to tell the difference between the two by the differences in the inner cv style (if it was completely round or if it has half moon style ridges on the outside of it)

Yeah was getting the feeling there was a couple of sizes, prob is im finding noone helpful to open up a box or two and hava look for me!

any other help? or cv's lying about?

Just my two cents, seems that at least Spidan 22552 and SKF VKJA3019 should have 30 teeth inner side. They are listed for 2.8cq. Some more details:
CV Joint, Ext. Teeth, wheel side 38, Int. teeth. wheel side 30, Numb.of teeth,ABS ring 45, ABS ring Ø 73,5 mm, Seal diam. 64 mm, without groove in internal component, D1 22,45 mm, Joint ø 88 mm, Length 95 mm, Thread Size M16x1.5F

Cheers guys, Error thought he a couple but turne dout to be the 27 teeth versions. Any idea where id pich up the Spidan or SKF parts from?????

Really need to get her sorted asap now shes knocking like a biatch!
