Thansk to Pix I have another AAN block here and a magical mystery box of goodies.

Needs a bit of work as I think he dug it up in his garden

But I'll spend a couple hours on it tomorrow and see how it cleans up - hopefully I'll be back on track after those facking cants facked me over

errr, yeah well after talking to JP I needn't have worried about getting the mains done anyway, given they were only about a smidge a out of round they would have been fine, but that doesn't change the fact that they scrapped my block :corey:
I have learnt my lesson expecting the same level of detail that I would go to, from someone else

Anyway I will clean this one up a bit and measure it make sure its OK to move forward with, then just get it bored & decked and leave the mains alone. I may ditch the ARPs if they distort the main caps to the point where they need work, as it appears people with the correct equipment and skill to trust with this kind of job are few & far between.

Think I still need a block
After Pix's very kind donation, I started cleaning up the block this evening - it was very rusty after years in storage - I took a wire brush to the tops of the water channels at the deck and the top edges just disintegrated into nothing, leaving only a few mm to the side of the block in places so leaving a lot to chance with the head gasket - would take a massive cut off the deck to fix it, or many many hours of welding, which considering it is cast is beyond my skill unfortunately.

So up again, can anyone help?
