Sounds like you've got options anyway, but I've a pair in the garage with carriers that I'd kept thinking I'd put them on my 80 tdi, but the reality is it doesnt go fast enough to need them

S2 calipers won't fit a mk.1 Golf. You are looking for G54s from a mk.2 Golf and Audi 80 carriers. Common mistake to confuse Golf G60 with Girling G60, they are completely different

Reason they won't fit us that you need to run S2 carriers too, and they are the wring hub hole spacing for a mk.1.

I developed a 280x25 setup using S2 brakes and Vauxhall Meriva diesel discs for a mate's track Golf and they were very effective, if a little heavy.
