I have 054 133 471 (Hitachi) removed from running car about 1 year ago. £32 delivered if that's any good to you.

I've three of them and non state A on the end.
Bosch or Hitachi unit on your car? I thought there were two types 89-90 90-91?
Is the A at the end of the number or embossed elsewhere on the black plastic?

Mikes2, yep, a late car, post March 1990

Simon, thanks...... just been out to triple-check the car.... and contrary to the parts catalog it doesn't have an A on the end!

It's a 4-port ECU on the car, and the MAF is Hitachi.

Send me a PM with your paypal address, if that's OK?

                Pete.

To update this..... received MAF from Simon 20vq, only done a quarter of a tank so far, seems to be running better, hunting after starting is better so that is a result for sure.

HOWEVER (and this is NO FAULT of Simon), it is actually different compared to what came out. I tried unscrewing the actual sensor from the housing, to swap it over so as not to have to swap the whole housing out, however the earlier MAF is a slightly different shape and won't fit on the later housing. I ended up swapping housings over.

I think I found what the 'A' means, even if it isn't marked with it!

Anyways, looking at the two parts, there is a panel under the part number that has a couple of other markings on it. On the pre-march 1990 it reads as:

                    AFH50-01B
                    0112

and on the post-march 1990 MAF it has:

                    AFH50-12
                    0X26

So they are definitely different, and it has had a positive effect on the running, but not quite the right one (as above, I am not apportioning blan to ANYONE but me!).

Anyone know the difference between the two?

And anyone got one with the correct markings for the post-march 1990 system?

                    Cheers!

                    Pete.

All 7A cars used the same MAF - there was no distinction between early and late cars.

Those numbers look like date codes of manufacture

                            Also listed for the 7A:

As above, the actual MAF when removed from the housing won't fit the other housing, so something is different between the two, just can;t tell if it is important or not. The other significant thing is the testing procedure is different on pre and post march 1990 cars.
