    RHD Ellipsoids

This must be one of the most common requirements...

Looking for ellipsoids to replace the original lamps on my S2. I see plenty of LHD ones and am happy to go this way IF they can be switched over to RHD. There is some good info about a lever that can be used on the forum but it doesn't sound like its the correct method long term to get past a sharp inspector.

Anyway, f anyone has a source or related info, I'd be grateful to be directed to it.

    Many thanks

The lever just flattens the beam so no good long term, I bought 2 new LHD ellipsoids from Germany last year £420 and then got a couple of A6 ellipsoids off ebay for £30 and used the parts from them to swap out the LHD projectors, I've now got a set of new RHD ellipsoids for £450 and a set of A6 lights in LHD that I will probably list sometime in the future on ebay.

It is possible to modify the original projectors by effectively reversing the cut out but in doing so you will most likely lose the ability to flatten out the beam as when I looked into this the easiest way would be to cut the shield to create a RHD, right side flick up and then using another piece of metal to cover the original LHD left side flick up (it sounds strange but in a projector the LHD kick up is made by a right side kick down in the projector and you need to straighten this)

There was someone on the forum who offered to do a conversion but would not give away the method saying he needs to make a living.

So if you're OK with dismantling the full headlamp assembly its possible to convert the existing projector or do a swap, the high beam and all other parts are the same as RHD parts.
