    I'm have trouble with the Post Tools ie it doesn't do anything, anywho, re tow bar, is the detachable type still available? that's what I'd really like but may have to settle for a fixed type, I'd need to be 100% the 90 one would fit if I went for it.

      I'm pretty sure the 90 one will not fit properly - if at all. It is very different to the one I have fitted to my coupe.

        Thanks for the info, I think I'll give the 90 one a miss thank you if there's any doubt that it may not/will not fit...is the detachable type still available I wonder?

        Why won't the Post Tools work?

          Having spent some considerable time sourcing a detachable towbar for an RS2, I can give you some indication of what is or isn't available. All detachable towbars for the B3/4 chassis have been discontinued, I know for certain that the jigs have been scrapped for the Saloon/Avant and I suspect the same for the Coupe. The fixed type Coupe bar was the last to be discontinued and was mostly still available a couple of years ago. Most of the brackets are still available for all types, one part of the fixing kit is NLA which means they can't sell it to you, but they will give you all the parts they still have in stock for the cost of postage. The RS2 and S2 towing hooks have been discontinued, but I believe the S2 is the same as one of the B5 ones which is still available. The coupe one is different again, I think there was very limited stock when I enquired so probably NLA now. However, the fixing has not changed, so it's just a case of finding one from a newer car which clears the bumper and sits at the right height.

          In short, if you can get the main assembly of a Westfalia detachable towbar for a coupe then you should be able to source the rest. Alternatively, used ones turn up on eBay.de all the time so that is probably the easiest option.
          92 Audi 80 Quattro => RS2 Saloon!
          98 TVR Cerbera 4.5
          63 Austin Mini Super Deluxe (turbocharged)
          69 Austin Mini Cooper

          75 Daimler Vanden Plas 4.2L

                    Thats great thank you, I have just bought a towbar from a link supplied on the Forum here, (sorry forgot who it is now). I've not got the tow bar just yet but it's on it's way, the guy omitted to put all of the brackets in the pic on the add which made me doubt it would fit at the time, but turns out the seller guy (in Belgium) is an Audi nut so it would seem he knows what he's talking about. See pic.
