Just testing the water with this one.

Does anyone have/know of a cleanish b4 80 avant rolling shell or very cheap runner ?

I'm looking at doing a Quattro conversion on an avant in the near future as a long term project, I've got pretty much a whole Quattro running gear sat in storage and may end up takin my saloon off the road soon for some maintenance. I really fancy an avant as it's the only shape I haven't had yet .

I'm only going to be looking to spend around £2-300 on a shell, as I've got pretty much everything else (excluding engine). But as a long term project that doesn't matter for now

Would be awesome if it was already a Quattro obviously, but not important.

And would also be tempted by a cheap derv as a daily for when the saloon comes off the road

I've got a very cheap derv which might be available for a runaround if my mate doesn't hurry up and take it.

It is a 1994 Citroen ZX Volcane 1.9 Turbo Diesel with a tiny 204k on the clock. MOT till Dec, Tax till end of Oct. Cambelt done about 18k ago, rad is fine, box and engine is fine, rear brakes could do with some attention but other than that, it is good to go if you dont need to get anywhere fast or in style ha ha. I was going to run it until it died but it just soldiers on. Indestructable little XUD's are great but I have replaced it now. Not an Audi but im in Banbury if you want a cheapo derv for like £350. It needs a bloody good clean outside and I don't jest ha ha.

Ideally I need to get a base shell first, then take the saloon off the road and take any bits I need, was tempted to look for a cheap 1.9tdi 80 avant as a run around, and then a base shell in the long run .. But there not as cheap as I'd hoped ha ha ... As for the citreon .. Unless I end up having to find something out of necessity I'm gonna pass aha ! Want to try and stay VAG

I had a good tdi one up till 2 weeks ago-went to Latvia!
Apparently they're worth a few grand over there.
Mine went just for engine and box-was going to be cut and sent front half only!
Wish I d know, would have sold just engine n box.
