Why do you need cooler and hoses from ABY ?
Exactly the same cooler is installed in many golfs GTI, audi 200 turbo from MY 88-91, S4, etc. The hoses also fit, however they may need some modificiation to fit properly .

ive advised similar before altho not sure if they are the same fitting or not.

The oil cooler is the same or about the same as the oil cooler in mk1, mk2 golf's and also the old beetles at least... not sure about the fittings tho

I looked at this when i did mine and although the theory is sound, in practice it wasn't worth the hassle. The mk2 golf and beetle have a water cooled oil cooler anyway.

Note I've said "many". Don't know, maybe it's related to climate or amount of valves under bonned, but I have seen some.

I'd be interested to see the water cooled oil cooler in an air cooled engine!

OLD Beetle not new, and old Golf

However I'm not pretty sure, will these bend pipes fit. Here is picture of cooler which was installed in my car (from audi 100 turbo MC 88). Notice the famous rust in famous place

hee hee.. this is why i want want from s2. so i can fit it without having to mod it as im not too good with custom mods.

They have not split but in bad shape which i dont like

Im sure i heard i can use one from s4 without mods but not too sure....

anyone know of a cheaper solution without having to mod it?

The 'finny' bit in the middle is similar but the rest looks nothing like any of my old Beetle oil coolers!!!
