    S2 3B Chip / Recommendations

Interested in a chip for the 3B. I take it chip is the only route however, I'm open to suggestions or recommendations. Any help much appreciated.

Standard homefry is worth the effort and makes a significant improvement on drivability and oddly economy too.

If you wanted to optimise further then I think only person still doing mapping on the fly is AutoMark up in York/NE England and at some point I will get my lazy rear end up there to have mine sorted via him. In the meantime the homefry works well.

    Hope that helps

Thanks very much for the information. What's the issues with remapping the 3B - I suppose what I'm trying to say is why don't more companies do it is it just too difficult to optimise?

What approx would the homefry increase the power by? The car currently has an ABY Airbox and a Decatted stainless steel exhaust. I have an ABY intercooler ready to go on too. Would any of these additions have an influence on performance with a home fry chip - probably a daft question I know. Thanks again for your help.

The only places that will map a 3b are MRC and automark. PRJ did my rs2,d 3b,but said he will not do it again as there is to much soft ware needed and not enough 3b,s to warent the cost. Home frys I think are ABY AAN RS2 only.

Your setup Eph is broadly the same as mine. Not sure if ABY I/C is bigger than the standard 3b and thus better for cooling charge temps as the K24 does end up blowing hot air. goes from 220bhp to approx 270-280BHP depending on health of the vehicle and about 295-300ft/b torque

That was the ECU you sold before I bought the car.

I sent my ECU to Hoffer, and got a 2.5 bar map sensor and 285bhp chipset, 1.5 bar (21psi) peak, tapering to 1.1 bar. It ran great, I also had decats, modded ABY airbox, FMIC, backbox.

Ran that chipset when the car was my daily for a couple of years, great to drive, smooth, could get 30+ on a run if you laid off the loud pedal, or very rapid

                          Best bang for buck mod!

If Spink still has them I would snaffle them.
