Depends how much work you want to do really . Mk3 golf recaros are a great cheap option. Alternatively porsche seats have a flat base therefore relatively easy to convert.

If my cloth Recaros don't sell they will go in to your coupe

I can also vouch for MkIII Recaros. But if you don't want the hassle of re-trimming cloth ones in something more fitting for an Audi than below, you'd need to get leather ones and in tip-top condition

Cheap and comfortable/supportive. They are a bit rough colour wise though

Main trouble is you need to buy some rare & expensive Recaro subframes or make your own.

A good pair of leather MkIII Golf Recaros would probably require the least work

Mk4 r32 konig seats are real nice if you don't drive the car too much. Or if you do what I did and drive a mere 18k in about 9 months you will probably have your physios number on speed dial, and if you haven't got a Physio you will get one. Although I'm lead to believe the ones from the later mk4 r32's are a tad better as they have lumbar support.

I keep thinking about this too, the leather on my drivers has more lines than clapham junction where it's cracked.

Has anyone tried audi TT seats? Not sure if they'd hit the headliner when tilted forward though. My other thought was Mazda MX-5 seats?

Recaro speeds are great, super comfy.

I got mine out of an evo (earlier one, the later evo recaros are not as supportive), which are cheap if you can live with the colour, or get them re trimmed.

Anybody have any ideas where I can get replacement upper side bolsters from? Having tried my S2 Recaros for a few days I want to upgrade the better positioned Golf ones with S2/RS2 bolsters. I can find ones for the seat base but not the back rest side bolsters

Only other option is if my retrimmer can reverse engineer some foam from the S2 Recaros before I sell them.

I can also find the back rest bolsters for Recaro speed seats so I could find a car that has them and pretend I'm interested in buying it, just to sit in the seat
