Either way mate, so long as we have a spare in Bristol!

£30 for it seems fair Russ
Had it done at MJH Auto Electrical. 62 Lower Redland Rd, BS6 6SS (0117 974 5390)

Just found the reciept which was £65 for a FULL rebuild inc bearings as mine were noisy !
This was a couple of years ago but I've used him for ages because his prices are always very reasonable and a lot cheaper than the next guy !

BTW its a hard place to find if you don't know Redland so just ask if you need any directions
For what this cost me so far I could have bought an S2

Nice one Chris. I'll give them a shout tomorrow. Is your Alternator 90 or 120a?

I'm not sure. I asked them to uprate it to 120a to cope with the demands of my ice install but I have no way of measuring its output to confirm !

All done! Dropped it off with Mike at lunch time and it was ready for collection three hours later! Turns out it was the regulator but at least he's checked it over and confirmed everything else is ok. Only cost me £35 so happy days. I enjoyed the experience of removing the alternator too as it gave me a bit more practical experience and also access to some more bits I couldn't clean with it on
Will check yours out Chris and if it's compatible then I'll take it as a spare.

No probs, glad Mike sorted you out

I will remove it Saturday morning and give Andy a bell later that day.
Can pop by any time over the weekend as I'm staying local.
