    Rear S2 Calipers

Does anyone know where I could get hold of some rear calipers? or maybe I could upgrade them? I believe you can use S4 caliper and A8 disc'c, is this right. All info would be recieved gratefully

    Cheers

They can have my car when they pry my cold dead fingers from the steering wheel.

IMHO I wouldn't bother with the effort and expense of modifying the rears - upgrade the fronts and do that properly and you'll not need to do the rears, they do so little anyway. That's just my view!

If you want straight replacement rear calipers cheaply, I got one from 4 Ring Spares recently for about £60.

Hi Dan, I've got the Porsche 996's on the front but I had sticking rear's. I pulled them appart this weekend and one of them has been battered by some cowboy mechanic. I saw those at 4ringspares and was just wondering if they are the cheapest?

I'd say bigger discs, say New Beetle fronts, and (UR)S4 calipers - it just looks so silly with those puny discs out back... Saw pics of a guy with stock rears and 18" wheels... Pathetic.

Isn't there a way to widen the stock rear S2 calipers?

Does uprating the rear calipers not put the brake balance out though?

Nope, puts the balance back in buisness. If it would be better to have no brakes out back no cars would have 'em - but they do. I'm going with big discs and some kind of stock-ish calipers rear to match a big disc+996 combo out front.

The alternative is Brakes International do replacement parts (seal kit, piston etc...)
