RS2 in need of love.

I've decided it's going to happen this year and due to my budget, facility's and skills I'll happily consider a car needing major mechanical work. So if anyone has something tucked away they'd rather not see broken and no longer has the time for I'm all ears.

I'm after an HPI clear RS2 in Volcano Black, Indigo Blue or Ragusa Green, I would prefer a RHD car but will also seriously consider a LHD example. Some history would be nice as well as low miles but it's imperative it's not accident damaged and overall condition is far more important and what the odometer says.

The body needs to be very tidy but I'd consider something that's snapped it's cambelt or needs a gearbox, head gasket , new turbo, etc etc etc.

Again must be HPI clear.

I have access to a trailer so can collect anywhere in the UK.

Not sure if the guy is on the forum, but there is a Ragusa in Brechin that has sat for about 2 years apparently the engine is goosed, I'm not completely sure if he's selling but next time I'm passing I might just pop in and see what he says. I've tried before but there was no answer. So will have another go with him. Body looks very straight but it is parked up by the side of his house and in honsety I'm not about to go raking around in his garden!!

If I get some news I will let you know, but I'm not home for another couple weeks, so good luck in the meantime.

That's the very one Colesy. Not sure about the story now though as it's been laid up for a while, was going to ask if he's sell her to me, but I got the one from Belgium in November.

Nice one for the response, I'm not sure that one is for me though as I think it's a CAT D write off, however I would be interested to know if it's for sale and if so if the chap that owns it has a price in mind.

My RS2 is the one in Brechin nothing wrong with the engine, car was caught in a flash flood and water got in though door seal flooded the foot well up to the base of seats. I had the interia stripped out as soon as it happened and dried and cleaned, its all fitted back into the car just not had time to get moving on the project just now as trying to sell the house so last thin i need is a car in bits. Just need the brakes refurbished and due to flood was written off need a vin check after MOT. Have a project 1994 S6 i have to work on too.

At this time dont know when I will have the time might consider selling but not intersted in selling of pennies.

Thanks for the reply, sorry to hear your RS2 got flooded If you got it stripped out and cleaned promptly I guess it's not too much of a problem.

I have a budget that covers car's that have sold with MOT in the last 12 months so I'm not setting out to get one for pennies, though that would be smashing

If you could have a think what sort of figure you'd be happy with should you decide to sell and drop me a PM I'd appreciate it though I'm not in any hurry.

Opp's should have updated this, no longer looking, have found a nice example that's now living in my workshop.
